Grove’s Mom of the Month: Kim Hacker – Presented By Trench Brothers Graphics

Parents of high school athletes invest a lot of time into helping their children be at the places they need to be when they need to be there. They also make sure they have the things necessary to help them be successful. Kim Hacker is a mother of three and says that she does what she can to be involved in their lives.

“We stay involved in our kids’ athletic careers by attending all games, banquets, etc.,” she said. “In basketball, I coordinated dinners after every home game with the help of some amazing moms.”

Two of her three kids have already graduated from high school and the third one is graduating this year. They were all three involved in a number of activities as high school students

“Abby, my oldest is currently in dental school in Kirksville, Missouri,” Kim said. “She played basketball as a high school student. My middle child, Hanks, is currently attending the University of Arkansas working towards a business degree. He played football, basketball, and baseball in high school. Hagen is my youngest and he is part of the class of 2023. He played football, basketball, and baseball at Grove and will be playing wide receiver for the University of Central Oklahoma in the fall. I am so proud of all three of my kids.”

Hacker is a physical education teacher and she also coaches sixth grade cross country, basketball, and track. She says that now with all of her kids out of high school, she is looking forward to a little free time with her husband.

“I married my eighth-grade sweetheart,” she said. “We have been married for thirty years. He is a dentist and he owns Lakehaven Dental in Grove and Langley.

When I am not cheering on my kids, I like to workout, swim, play pickleball, kayak, and bike ride.”

As the fall approaches, Hacker is looking forward to cheering on our son when he plays for UCO.
