9 Questions with Jay High School’s Angela Lee Presented by Trench Brothers

VYPE: Hello Angela. What grade are you in this year and how long have you competed in wrestling? 

Lee: I’m a junior in high school and this is my fifth-year wrestling. 
 

VYPE: Coming into the season, what was the goal? 

Lee: My goal this season is to win state. 


 

VYPE: Tell us about the team. How has this season gone so far? 

Lee: Jay girls wrestling team can be very tough this year. We have many girls on this team, and everyone is improving as the season goes by. I believe we can win a state title as a team.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates at Jay? 

Lee: I love that my teammates are very supportive, and we can communicate. We always assure each other to wrestle tough and that it’s okay to be nervous when it comes to wrestling. 

VYPE: What do you enjoy about being a student-athlete at Jay? 

Lee: I love how supportive everyone is in Jay. My family, friends, teachers, teammates, and coaches are all very supportive and positive. 

VYPE: What other clubs, sports or groups are you involved in at school? 

Lee: I am a member of Hmong club, art club, science club, and the junior class. 

VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject or favorite teacher? 

Lee: My favorite subject in school is physiology and anatomy. I do not have a favorite teacher.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate? 

Lee: After I graduate high school, I would like to go into college going towards the medical field and becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon or a travel nurse. 
 

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Lee: I like to spend my free time with my family and friends, they put me in the best mood possible.
