The Miami Wardogs’ soccer team went 4-2 through the month of April thanks to the efforts of players like Remi Hopping. Hopping is fully committed to the sport of soccer and said the culture and support at Miami High School is tremendous.
“I love the support from our coaches and fans at games and I also love the atmosphere at practice and during games,” said Hopping.
Having started at a young age, Hopping said he hopes to have the opportunity to play at the next level.
“I am a junior in high school and I have played soccer since I was six. If the opportunity to play soccer doesn’t present itself, I would love the become a commercial airline pilot,” said Hopping.
Hopping feels this team is dedicated and getting better. Their focus is winning more game and get into post season play.
“What I love most about my teammates is they are very competitive, and they also make the best out of bad situations. The team I love to play the most is Commerce High School. Many of us from Miami are friends with people from Commerce so the game ends up being very competitive,” said Hopping.
This summer, Hopping plans to continue improving his skills and prepare for his senior season. “My plans for this summer are to stay working hard running, playing soccer, so I come into next season better than before,” said Hopping.
