VYPE: Malachi, what sport do you play at Vinita High School and what grade are you in? 

Namelo: I play golf. I’ve been playing golf for about a year now and I am a sophomore. 

VYPE: How has the team performed this season? 

Namelo: The team is looking pretty solid like we could make a run at state. 

VYPE: You’ve only played for a year so what area of your game are you working the hardest to improve? 

Namelo: I’ve work on improving my iron game a lot. 

VYPE: What’s it like being on the team and how do you like your teammates? 

Namelo: What I enjoy most are their personalities and the quality time we get to spend on the course. 

VYPE: Tell me your lowest round and where did you shoot it? 

Namelo: An 89 over at the Grand Cherokee golf course.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities at school? 

Namelo: I’m in FCA and in the art club at my school and run with the group back alley. 

VYPE: What do you like most about VHS? 

Namelo: What I love most about being a student-athlete at Vinita are the friends I’m able to make and the relationships I’m able to build with the coaches. 

VYPE: Do you have a favorite course you like to play? 

Namelo: I like to play over at Peoria Ridge whenever I have enough free time but also enjoy golfing at The Coves. 

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate? 

Namelo: I would like to go to pilot school after graduating if possible. 

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time? 

Namelo: I enjoy golfing, fishing, working, and playing sports in my free time.
