GROVE RIDGERUNNERS
Coach: JEREMY COLLINS
2024 Record: 14-18
After a season of growth in 2024, head coach Jeremy Collins believes his Grove Ridgerunners are poised to take a significant step forward this fall. With a balanced roster featuring experienced upperclassmen and rising underclassmen, the Ridgerunners are ready to make their mark.
“We will have two seniors returning with experience from last year—Lily Reeves and Tay’elor Garst,” said Collins. “We also have four juniors that have started since their freshman year. They gained valuable experience and will be expected to play a huge role in our success this season.”
Leading the charge is junior Kinsey Guinn, a standout on both sides of the ball. “Kinsey has it all,” Collins said. “She’s a great player and an even better person. She’s a multi-sport athlete with a 4.0 GPA and one of our top pitchers and hitters. She plays shortstop, third base, pitcher, and first base—and she excels at them all. She’s a ‘lead by example’ type of kid who continues to expand her leadership.”
Behind the plate, sophomore catcher Jade Dillinger commands the defense with confidence and energy. “Jade is a fantastic player and very versatile, but fortunately for us, she’s our catcher,” said Collins. “She’s a vocal leader who takes control of the field and had a great year at the plate. She loves the sport and her teammates, and it shows.”
Junior Bri DeSilva is another key contributor expected to elevate her game this season. “We’re really looking forward to seeing what she can do,” said Collins. “She’s made real progress as a pitcher and can be a big difference maker for us.”
Sophomore Piper Lynch and freshman standout Jaxyn Berryman round out a talented underclassman group. “Piper is extremely coachable and has grown a lot as a player,” Collins said. “Jaxyn is a five-sport athlete and possibly our best pure athlete—she was a huge part of our team last year and will be again.”
The Ridgerunners are confident heading into 2025. “Our district is very talented, but we believe in this group,” said Collins. “We want to compete every night and find a way to win.”
