COMMERCE TIGERS
Coach: BROOKE JACKSON
2024 Record: 17-8
With eight returning starters, head coach Brooke Jackson enters the 2025 season with high expectations for her Commerce Tigers. The combination of seasoned leadership and hungry young talent has the team feeling confident and ready to take the next step.
“We’re heading into the season with confidence and high expectations,” said Jackson. “We’re returning eight experienced starters who bring leadership, chemistry, and a strong competitive edge. With a solid foundation already in place, we’re excited to build on last year’s progress and push even further. This group is hungry, focused, and ready.”
Leading the way is junior pitcher and offensive powerhouse Haven Ragsdale, who posted a .454 batting average with 29 hits and 18 RBIs while striking out just once all season. “At the plate, she’s a consistent offensive threat,” said Jackson. “In the circle, she’s just as dominant, pitching 95 innings with a stellar 1.17 ERA. Her all-around performance makes her one of the most impactful and reliable players on the field.”
Behind the plate, Irish McCleary provides invaluable leadership and consistency. “She’s started and caught every game for us since her freshman year,” said Jackson. “She’s aggressive, smart, and rarely makes mistakes. Her versatility and base running IQ make her a major impact player.”
The Tigers’ youth movement is led by standout sophomore Bella Hart, who had a remarkable freshman campaign. “Bella started every game at third base and hit .500 with 33 hits,” Jackson said. “She has great plate discipline, poise, and power—she’s a standout talent with a very bright future.”
Another underclassman making waves is Payton Hanson, who started every game as a freshman. “Payton is a dynamic athlete with tremendous range in the outfield and a strong, accurate arm,” said Jackson. “At the plate, she hit .431 and stole 14 bases. Her speed and all-around game make her a key contributor.”
Senior Rita Perry embodies the heart of the program. “She leads with integrity and puts the team before herself,” Jackson said. “Rita sets the standard for work ethic and accountability.”
With leadership, depth, and a drive to succeed, Commerce is poised to compete at a high level in 2025.
