9 Questions with Afton High School’s Chloe Church
VYPE: Chloe, what grade are you in this year and what position do you play on the Afton basketball team?
Church: I am a senior, and I play mostly in the post area.
VYPE: What has the season been like and what is the goal for the rest of the season?
Church: This season has had its highs and lows, but we’ve been playing well as a team and that is always good. The goal for the rest of the season is to play as hard as we can and get as far as we can.
VYPE: What do you enjoy most about your teammates at Aton HS?
Church: I like that my teammates don’t sugar coat things, if I need to work harder or do something better, they will let me know.
VYPE: What part of your game has improved the most this season?
Church: My free throws and my post moves have probably been my biggest improvements.
VYPE: What does it mean to you to be a student-athlete at Afton?
Church: The thing I love most about being an athlete at Afton High school is pretty much everything, my teammates, my coaches, our fans, the whole experience.
VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?
Church: I participate in STUCO and yearbook.
VYPE: In class, do you have a favorite subject or a favorite teacher?
Church: My favorite subject in school is English, and I would say Mrs. Wheatley is my favorite teacher.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
Church: After I graduate, I plan on going to college somewhere and eventually becoming a dental hygienist.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Church: In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and of course playing with my baby sister.
