FAIRLAND LADY OWLS

Coach: JACOB WILSON

2024-25 Record: 21-8

OUTLOOK

Speed is the name of the game for the Lady Owls. Running their opponents up and down the floor will be a key factor for coach Jacob Wilson.

“We will be a small team with a lot of speed. This team is transitioning to a fast-paced offensive and defensive play style. I have a senior who could average 20 points per game and a junior point guard to go alongside her who both will torment teams in the full court press. These girls work hard and will run through a brick wall for one another to get the win. This will be a fun team to coach and see how far we can go,” coach Wilson said.

Combo guard Calli Moncada (Sr.) will lead the way for the Lady Owls. Moncada is a track standout in the 100-meters, coupled with her ability to take the ball to the rim, and you have a nightmare to defend. Add shooting guard Remington Wyrick (Jr.) to the mix and you have a fast team that can run the floor and force mistakes.

Mckenna Hicks (Sr.) and Bryleigh Moore (Sr.) are two shooting guards who will see time on the court early and often. Hicks could be a starter when the season tips off. Both players are excellent shooters and their production is key. Mylee Craghead (So.) is a combo player with tremendous potential.

Other players to watch include Addilyn Lollar (So.) at forward, Alivia Bartley (Sr.) at forward, and Fallon Kinsey (Fr.) at combo guard. Kinsey is the future of the program, but coach Wilson said Kinsey, “has a ton of potential to grow in this system and take over in her sophomore or junior year.”
