KETCHUM WARRIORS
Coach: TANNER BROWN
7-4
OFFENSE
In his fifth season as head coach, Tanner Brown is looking to build off the 7-4 season from a year ago with some new faces and returners who bring good speed and size to the field. “We are an athletic group with good size and speed in the skill positions. We have some key guys coming back but lose four All-District players, so we will have some new faces in those spots,” said coach Brown. Look for a variety of formations from the Warriors offense again this season as quarterback Keegan Johnston (6-0, 180, Jr.) looks to lead the offense this season. Johnston will have some weapons in running back Logan Beisley (6-0, 175, Jr.) and wide receiver Cannon Knoten (6-3, 185, Sr.). Beisley rushed for over 500 yards and five TDs last season while Knoten accounted for over 400 yards receiving with five scores of his own. Knoten can also play tight end with Gracian Jones (6-2, 165, So.), another wide receiver, who led the Warriors in receiving last year as a freshman with over 600 yards. Landon Long (6-2, 200, Jr.) will see time at tight end with Blayne Tran (6-0, 200, Sr.) on the offensive line. Tran was recently named captain for the upcoming season.
DEFENSE
Six starters are back on the 4-2-5 defense the Warriors will employ this season. Several players will see time on both sides of the ball including Beisley who will line up at linebacker again this season. Last year Beisley had 77 tackles with 15 TFLs. Wyatt Sopha (5-11, 220, Sr.) returns to his spot on the defensive line where he was a menace last year. Sopha had four sacks with 12 TFLs and one INT. Blaine Waler (Sr.) will join Sopha on the line bringing his 34 tackles to the mix. Knoten will start at strong safety where he was huge last year grabbing five interceptions alongside Jones who grabbed five INTs as a freshman. Parker Adams (Jr.) will join Beisley at linebacker giving the Warriors two players who read and pursue very well. Adams started at center on offense last season and is a big, physical player with excellent instincts. Also look for Kaden Sandridge this season. Sandridge started his football career late, but he’s catching up quick and is becoming a difference maker for the Warriors.
