COMMERCE TIGERS

Coach: LOGAN CAWYER

7-5

OFFENSE

The Tigers are looking to build off of a solid season a year ago and make even bigger strides this season. Head coach Logan Cawyer, who is in his seventh season leading the team says that with the players that they have returning, he is looking forward to a great season. “We have a lot of experience coming back this year,” he said. “We have fourteen seniors that are taking on the role of being leaders and have had a great attitude so far this spring. I’m counting on that leadership to carry our younger guys through some tough games we have this year.” Anchoring the offensive line will be James Larkin (6-1, 240, Sr.) and Colin O’Brien (6-2, 250, Sr.). At the tight end position will be Cale Epperson (6-3, 215, Sr.) and Jonas Reeves (6-2, 200, Sr.), who will work to block and catch passes, whichever they are called on to do each play. Full-back Daniel Nino (5-9, 220, Sr.) and running back Conner O’Brien (5-11, 190, Sr.) will be looking for open running lanes out of the backfield.

DEFENSE

On the defensive side of the ball, the Tigers will lean on their stable of linemen to set the tone. Ethan Roher (6-0, 275, Sr.), along with Epperson, Reeves, and O’Brien will work to cause problems for the opposing offense. At linebacker, Nino will be a force that will have to be dealt with. Gracen Shelton (5-10, 165, Jr.) will monitor the secondary and be ready to disrupt the passing game.
