It’s been a fun season for the Fairland High School varsity cheer team. Friday nights are always the highlight of the week as head coach Vanessa Payne prepares the squad for an evening of cheering and stunts to get the crowd going.
This season there are five captains on the squad. Charlei Miller and Taylee Williams serving as captains and Calli Moncada and Menah Ward serving as co-captains. Senior Bryleigh Moore is the mascot, Hootie!
The junior class also features five student-athletes in Lindsey Donner, Lexi Johnson, Kayle Lofland, Korinna Rollins, and Riley Thomure.
The underclassmen are sophomores Autumn Campbell, Gracie Merit, Bella Rentfrow, and freshmen Aspen Al-Qahtani, Paige Kleinknight, and Kailyn Woods. Pictured: The varsity cheerleaders lead a group of youth cheerleaders during halftime of a football game.
