Anna Eberle is a talented senior softball player at Jay High School, whose passion for the game and strong mindset have made her an invaluable asset to her team. With her remarkable skills and leadership qualities, Eberle has left a lasting impact on and off the field.

Throughout her career, Eberle’s favorite coach has been Coach Moore, her current head coach, who has played a pivotal role in her growth as a player and as an individual. “He has impacted me tremendously not only with my performance but also mentally,” Eberle said. “Teaching me how to work through things when it’s not easy and having a strong mindset, as well as being a leader and a good role model to younger girls.”

Among her teammates, Eberle admires Kyler Howe for her go-getter attitude and unwavering support for others. Howe’s positive approach and encouragement have inspired Eberle to strive for excellence both in sports and in life.

In the classroom, Eberle’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Lewis, who has been influential during her sophomore and junior years. Mrs. Lewis’s guidance and support have undoubtedly contributed to Anna’s personal and academic growth.

During the off-season, Eberle has diligently prepared for the upcoming season by working with Coach Moore and her friends. “We would lift and do agility to make us faster and stronger, mentally and physically,” she said.

Softball has taught Eberle valuable life lessons over the past seven years. She believes that the game mirrors real life, where hard work and belief in oneself lead to success. “The most important thing I have learned is to have a strong/confident mindset,” Eberle said. “Always believe in yourself even when something seems impossible.”

As she looks ahead to the current season, Eberle’s main goal is to enjoy every moment. Her focus is not only on individual achievements but also on cherishing the time she has left with her team and the sport she loves.

The matchup Eberle is most excited about this season is against their biggest rival, Grove. The high-stakes game promises to showcase her skills and determination on the field.

Looking beyond high school, Eberle has ambitious plans to attend college and study criminal justice.
