Keegan Cooper-Lee
Jay High School
Keegan Cooper-Lee is a freshman at Jay High School and a member of the varsity wrestling team. Cooper-Lee has wrestled since she was in the seventh grade, and she loves being part of the high school team.
“I love the environment of Jay wrestling. All of the coaches and athletes are supportive,” said Cooper-Lee.
The team is enjoying a lot of success and have set big goals for the season. Cooper-Lee is working hard to help the team reach those goals.
“My teammates are very hardworking and push each other to reach our individual and team goals,” said Cooper-Lee. “My goals this season and for all of high school is to win a state championship. I would also love to win a state championshipas a team.”
Wrestling is not the only activity Cooper-Lee is involved in at Jay HS. The freshman is a member of the FFA chapter at school and she said her favorite subject is science. The freshman said one day she would like to become a Nurse Anesthetist.
As for the wrestling team, Cooper-Lee said the focus is on getting better and winning a state title.
“Our girls team will be a tough team to beat this season. We are a hardworking team and I think we have what it takes to earn a state championship,” said Cooper-Lee.
Away from school, Cooper-Lee said she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
