VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Jesse: If you want to be any type of man you have to let your work ethic define you and know how to treat a woman if you can do that you’ll be pretty well off.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Jesse: I’m a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and I attend the Northeast Technology Center.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Jesse: My favorite part about representing my high school in sports would be the intensity that competition brings because other players play with a lot of passion as well.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Jesse: My favorite sports memory was dumping Gatorade on coach Magnum in the locker room after sending Fairland home in the playoffs.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?
Jesse: I’ve always looked up to players like Marshawn Lynch and Demar Derozan who are people who came from nothing but give back at every chance they get.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Jesse: My favorite teacher has always been Mrs. Street. She was my middle school and high school math teacher but she isn’t very old so she’s very understanding and modern.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Jesse: Someone who truly inspires me to go out and be better would be my brother Jayston. We have been neck and neck at everything our whole lives so it somewhat gives me inspiration by competition.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Jesse: The teammates who have left the biggest impression on me were the entire senior class during my sophomore year. They showed me what true friends were and what it meant to have someone’s back on and off the field.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Jesse: I would probably go to Spain or just somewhere I’ve never had the opportunity to go to before. I would most definitely take my girlfriend Sarah with me.
