KETCHUM WARRIORS
Coach: TANNER BROWN
6-5
Ketchum expects to build on last year’s 6-5 season with a roster that head coach Tanner Brown describes as very athletic and physical and built mainly by upperclassmen. The Warriors bring back a lot of key production from 2025 and hope to build on the success they had, with nine offensive starters returning and a core of proven playmakers on both sides of the ball. Brown and his staff believe that experience, combined with the group’s physical style, gives Ketchum a chance to take another step forward in Class A this fall.
Offensively, Ketchum uses a variety of formations with clear goals: be the most physical team on the field, protect the football, and get the ball in space to its playmakers. Senior quarterback Keegan Johnston (6-1, 175) is back after throwing for 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns and rushing for 800 yards and seven more scores, giving the Warriors a dual-threat leader who can stress defenses in multiple ways. Senior wide receiver Gracian Jones (6-2, 170) is an all-around weapon who piled up 900 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, added 200 rushing yards and two scores on the ground, and even threw a touchdown pass, making him the fuel for much of Ketchum’s explosive scoring. Senior running back Logan Beisley (6-0, 180) rushed for 900 yards and nine touchdowns, senior running back Hunter Carriger (5-8, 155) added 350 rushing yards with five touchdowns and 150 receiving yards and two more scores, and senior tight end Landon Long (6-2, 200) chipped in 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Junior tackle Parker Adams (6-1, 220), a 20-game starter, anchors the offensive line and sets the tone physically in the trenches.
Defensively, Ketchum is smaller but fast and leans into that speed, applying pressure with a big emphasis on creating turnovers. Adams doubles as a defensive lineman and recorded 55 tackles and five sacks, while senior lineman Blaine Walker (6-0, 210) added 28 tackles and two sacks up front. Beisley slides to outside linebacker and was a stat-stuffer with 95 tackles, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns, senior lineman Dayden Cobb (5-11, 185) posted 37 tackles and two sacks, and Carriger contributed 74 tackles from linebacker. On the back end, Jones locked down his side of the field with 12 interceptions and one defensive touchdown, giving the Warriors a true ballhawk at defensive back. Jones is Ketchum’s Top 100 nominee and is praised as an explosive athlete with great ball skills and elite speed, while Carter Johnston is expected to see the field early after dominating at running back and linebacker in junior high. David McGimpsey returns from a severely broken elbow after multiple surgeries and rehabs, and his battle to get back on the field mirrors a program that expects toughness and resilience to drive another winning season.
