Haiden Smoke is a standout track athlete and a sophomore at Vinita High School. We caught up with Haiden just before the season came to a close.

VYPE: Haiden, what grade are you in and what events do you run?

Smoke: I’m in 10th grade and I do track and run the 3200 relay and the 4×4.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities at school?
Smoke: I’m involved in student council.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
Smoke: My favorite subject is probably geometry because my favorite teacher Mrs. Skinner is who teaches it, and she is really reliable she teaches a way so that the students understand it.

VYPE: What do you love most about being on the track team at Vinita HS?
Smoke: The friendships you make with the people on the team.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate from high school?
Smoke: I would like to attend a college and get my animal science degree and then eventually become a veterinarian.

VYPE: Who is the funniest person on the track team?
Smoke: Lauren Fraley. She all ways knows how to make a joke out of anything and make you feel better.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Smoke: I like playing with my dogs and rabbits and hanging out with friends.

VYPE: What TV show would you star in and why?
Smoke: I would love to star in Outback because their life is so adventurous and filled with fun.

VYPE: If you were stranded on an island, what two people would you want with you?
Smoke: Steve Irwin and Jeff Probst because I feel like they would be the people to help me survive and get food and clean water.
