Q&A with Vinita’s Luke Prince – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Patrick Kauffman Shelter Insurance

Vinita’s Luke Prince gave an interview with VYPE to discuss who he is.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year? 

To win an Oklahoma State Wrestling Championship and to become a Fargo All American Wrestler.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year? 

This year’s wrestling trip to Fargo, ND was the most fun I had this year.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why? 

Mrs Zagar who was my 4k Teacher. She made us feel like friends not just my teacher and has continued to keep in touch. 

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Winning a Greco State Championship.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why? 

I would say my brother Alex Prince because he pushes me to go harder and he made an impression on me when he won a wrestling state championship in folk-style. 

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team? 

The friendships that form from being on this wrestling team.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you? 

I would probably go on a cruise with my “boys” my friends.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on? 

I would by a pair of ASICS Ex Eo wrestling shoes.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects? 

Help with Vinita Youth Wrestling when I can. 

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why? 

Three Style Wrestling Club they have a coach that’s an Olympic champion and have coached many kids to championships over the years. 

VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs? 

Not yet.
