OUTLOOK

Finding players who are willing to stick it out and help build something special can be a difficult task these days. Coach Savannah Brown said the players at Ketchum are working hard to improve and keeping a positive attitude throughout the process. “We may not be topping the league in standings, but these girls have a lot of heart and enthusiasm. Our record from last season doesn’t define us. These girls are a supportive group and have each other’s back through thick and thin. These girls enjoy playing the game together and doing whatever it takes to better themselves. Despite the challenges we faced last season,

they are committed to learning and growing as a team,” said Brown. Alexis Currie (UTL/P, Jr.) can play all over the field, including pitcher. Currie enjoyed an outstanding sophomore season and is expected to have a breakout year. Several seniors look to build a solid foundation for this team this season and they include Gabby Jones (UTL, Sr.), Lilly Cobb (OF, Sr.), and Lily Bogle (OF, Sr.). Jones is an exciting player to watch and another versatile athlete in the field. A handful of sophomores will see plenty of time in the field and at the plate. Avery Vaughn (INF, So.), McKynzi Brown (INF, So.), Adelyn Butcher (INF, So.), Brooklyn Owens (INF, So.), and Grace Braden (OF, So.) are all expected to contribute to the overall success of the team. Ketchum has a large class of freshmen this season that includes seven players looking to compete in their first season of varsity play. They include Jeyton Brown (INF/P, Fr.), Keira Bethel (INF, Fr.), Josie Bogle (INF, Fr.), Bre Shofler (UTL, Fr.), Sadie Smith (OF, Fr.), Kyla Diebold (INF, Fr.), and Presley Reim (OF, Fr.).
