Vinita’s Jett Ogdon – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Welch State Bank Vinita

Jett Ogdon

Vinita High School

Vinita High School senior Jett Ogdon is a starter on the varsity football team for the Hornets. Ogdon is also a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Senior Rotarian. Representing Vinita High School is something Ogdon is proud to do.

“Playing football and being a student-athlete is tough, but the coaches and supportive staff make it fun. I feel we are young but everyone on the field wants to be there every day and is willing to put in the work to succeed,” said Ogdon.

Ogdon is a multi-sport athlete, but football the sport of choice.

“I play every sport you could think of, but overall football is at the top,” said Ogdon.

The Hornets have several players on the roster who are fun to watch. Ogdon being one of them. But the senior said everyone should look for these players to make a big difference this season.

“Everyone should watch Devon Morgan, Bodee Carter, Denny Bowlin, and Bo Bennett,” said Ogdon. “The game we’re most excited for is Jay in week one.”

The wide receiver/middle linebacker said he loves all of the traditions at Vinita, and he is ready to help the Hornets make the playoffs and compete for a title.

Once his time at Vinita comes to an end, Ogdon said he wants to attend college and become a pilot.

“I’m going to college to be a pilot, and hopefully I make it to flying for a big corporation,” said Ogdon.
