OUTLOOK
Every program embracing girls wrestling has experience the growing pains of getting a program off the ground. Vinita HS has coach Dylan Enyart to help with that process and the response has been excellent.
“Vinita’s girls team although new, is growing and ready to compete this winter,” coach Enyart said.
Leading the way on the mat is Cadence “CC” Carter, a sophomore who is eager to get back at it this season. Last year Carter finished with more than 30-wins and a state runner-up spot on the podium.
“She finished last year with over 30 wins as well as a Runner-Up finish at the All-State junior High State Championship. CC also went on to qualify for the OSSAA State Tournament as a freshman. Cadence is poised to make a serious run for a state championship this season,” coach Enyart said.
Her presence in the wrestling room is sure to help coach Enyart build numbers and field a team ready to compete in tournaments and duals. Look for the Vinita girls wrestling program to make a statement this season.
