WYANDOTTE BEARS
Coach: DOUG BUCKMASTER
2-8
OFFENSE
Entering this season, the Bears are ready to start with a clean slate and have a better season. Head coach Doug Buckmaster says that for his team, it starts way before they hit the field. “We want to be the most improved football team in Oklahoma,” he said. “Our guys have a willingness and desire to improve. They understand that this is a process and that winning does not happen overnight. We need to become more fundamentally sound with schemes on both sides of the ball and learn to play with better technique. We need to understand practice needs to be harder than the game. We will learn how to play with tempo offensively. Must be a team that is consistent in everything we do.” Brady Lofland (6-1, 175, Sr.) will lead the offense at quarterback. He will be joined in the backfield by running back Evan Brown (5-9, 170, Jr.). Lofland will also have a number of targets that he will look to get the ball to. Wide receivers Isaiah Wallin (5-10, 180, Sr.) and Trace Mathews (5-10, 155, Jr.) and tight ends Terry Hembre (5-10, 180, So.) and Jarrin Bird (5-10, 185, Sr.) each look to make an impact on the season.
DEFENSE
The Bear’s defense will work to be aggressive and stop the opponent’s run game this season. Anchoring the defensive line and wreaking havoc will be Dayton Lasley (5-9, 195, Sr.), Jalin Enyart (5-11, 305, Sr.), Erik Luna (5-8, 220, So.), and Kutter Thompson (5-9, 175, Jr.). Doing their work from the linebacker position will be Hunter Francisco (5-9, 155, Jr.) and Hunter Carr (5-9, 180, So.). Randy Heatherly, Chris Gwartney, Sean Gwartney, Terry Sapp, Rodney McKinney, Wil Amos, and Ken Anders.
