Isiah Truster brings a steady presence and a team-first approach to the Ketchum High School varsity football program.
The senior contributes in multiple roles for the Warriors, playing wide receiver and running back on offense while also lining up at nose guard on defense. His ability to handle different responsibilities reflects both his versatility and commitment to the team’s success.
“I play wide receiver and running back on offense and nose guard on defense. I love being on the team because we are all chasing the same goals.”
For Truster, football is about more than the action between the lines. He values the relationships built through the work, competition and challenges shared with teammates.
“I love the team because we are strong, and we always come together, and the teammates are incredible we are more than teammates we are more brothers.”
Truster said coach Brown has been a major source of motivation during his time with the program. He appreciates the standard his coach sets and the encouragement to keep improving.
“Coach Brown most definitely inspires me the most. He is the best coach I’ve been coached by. He’s always pushing us to be better.”
His calm demeanor is another asset when the stakes rise. Truster said he works to remain composed in difficult moments instead of allowing pressure to affect his play.
“My strength is that I’m good at staying calm and not freaking out in sticky situations.”
He also credits teammate Gracian Jones for making a difference in his experience.
“I would say my teammate Gracian Jones has left an impression on me. He is always there when I’m down and knows how to bring me up.”
Truster is also a basketball and baseball athlete. As football season continues, he is eager for each opportunity, especially the chance to compete in the final game.
“I’m excited for everything but most definitely ready to play in the final game.”
